Texas Street Fest Volunteers Needed

With the Texas Street Festival fast approaching this Labor Day weekend, the Texas Street Festival is Seeking for volunteers from across the Valley to lend their time to make the event as fun as possible.

Laura Lopez, Chamber of Commerce board member and owner of LaserLux, said that the past festivals have gotten upwards of 35,000 attendees, so many hands will be necessary to keep up with all the people.

“It’s a good time, it’s hot but it’s worth it, it’s worth the fun… come out and join the fun, have some food, listen to the music, and have some drinks.” Lopez said.

Volunteers can sign up here to be a volunteer through the website. Individual shifts throughout the day can be selected.

Each shift will have volunteers doing different things, but volunteers can expect to keep up with general maintenance of the booths, picking up trash and food, and making the rounds between the various lawn games that will be present at the event.

There are certain shifts that require the volunteer to be over 21, however, due to the various beer booths that will also need help around the venue. Between checking up on the booths for assistance, or just walking around and picking up trash, there will be many things for the volunteers to assist with to make it a fun day for everyone.

T-shirts will be provided to each volunteer that signs up, allowing them to be identified easily by other members of the public. If an individual is unable to register on the website, they can still offer their time to help out throughout the day simply by asking to help out.
