Family Gathering for One-Year Remembrance of Rebecca Salinas

Family, friends, and community members gathered on Saturday, April 11, to honor the life and memory of Rebecca Salinas on the one-year anniversary of her passing.

The remembrance event was held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Mercedes Civic Center, located at H-E-B Park. The gathering provided a space for reflection, support, and shared remembrance among those in attendance.

As part of the ceremony, participants took part in a symbolic bubble release, offering personal memories, thoughts, and prayers in tribute to Salinas. Attendees brought bubbles to contribute to the moment, while others stood in support to honor her life.

Salinas was remembered by her husband, Christopher Salinas, and her son, Dorian Salinas, along with extended family members from Mercedes and Bay City. She was also cherished by a large circle of relatives, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and close family friends.
