Letter to the Editor,
At first glance, a full page interview seemed a bit over the norm. But was I ever impressed with Dr. Patti Ross Loya !! I wish she was running for the school board for the STSD magnet school. There briefly it was an outstanding high school . It had of the one of the 10 best libraries in the nation ! Academics was its main goal. Now its buildings and sports. The administration building says it all. It is removed from the main camps. Her interview should be mandatory reading for all school boards.
I have to add Patti Ross Loya to the list of illustrious personalities that came out of Mercedes: Dr. Hector Garcia, HOUSE AGRICULTURAL COMMITTEE Chairman E. Kika de la Garza, former Congressman Ruben Hinojosa and his brother Liborio Hinojosa. My apologies to anyone I am missing.
