The Mercedes Mighty Tiger Band applied over a year ago to march in a Walt Disney World parade for its bi-annual band trip. 

“Once we received the invitation, we started planning which day we would go,” Guy McKinney, MHS Band Director said. 

The trip included a two-day stay at Universal, The Epic Park, three days at Disney,  a visit to Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and Hollywood theme parks.  

  “It is such a memorable trip for the students, many of my former students, go back later in their life,which is pretty cool,” McKinney said. “On a side note, my former students who are also assistant band directors, went through the same thing, and enjoy the traveling and passing the experiences on.”
