 It was a winning week for Mercedes ISD as two middle school boys track and field teams brought home district titles.

The 8th Grade Boys Track & Field team from Sgt. William G. Harrell Middle School captured the District Championship, showcasing their strength, determination, and teamwork throughout the season.

Likewise, the 7th Grade Boys Track & Field team from Sgt. Manuel Chacon Middle School also claimed the District Championship in their division, marking a proud moment for the campus and the district.

Mercedes ISD commended the student-athletes and coaching staff for their commitment and discipline. “We are #MISDproud of the hard work, dedication, and teamwork that led to these outstanding achievements,” the district said in a statement.

Congratulations to both teams on their well-earned victories, the district said.
