Q&A with Frank Fernandez, Mercedes High Tigers Junior Shooting Guard

By RAUL GARCIA JR | The Mercedes Enterprise

The Mercedes Enterprise caught up with Junior Shooting Guard Frank Fernandez to
ask him about the basketball season and his game. Here’s what he had to say in the Meet
the Tigers Q&A:

Q: Tell us when you knew you wanted to be a Tiger basketball player, and why?
A: During the quarantine in 2020, I would just workout and have fun with basketball and realized I can get good at this thing if I work hard enough and I wanted to be on varsity.

Q: How excited are you to bring that winning mentality to Mercedes Tigers Basketball?
A: It pumps me up because I know our team feeds off energy so if that means me coming off the bench to bring the energy we need, I will do that.

Q: What would you say is the most important aspect of your game?
A: My defense.
