Vanguard Academy parents graduate from Mercedes’ Texas Valley Communities Foundation Parent Academy for Success of Schools

The Vanguard Academy recently graduated 35 parents who participated in the Parent Academy for Success of Schools (PASOS) parental involvement after-school specialized training provided by the The Texas Valley Communities Foundation, a nonprofit center based in Mercedes with a mission to empower and transform communities through education and innovation. The parents attended online weekend learning sessions focusing on college readiness, financial aid opportunities and helping their children succeed in school and college. The graduation took place May 9, 2020 at the Vanguard Academy-Rembrandt Campus. The Key note speaker was Patricia Valenzuela. The School District is lead by Superintendent Dr. Narciso Garcia.
