Diana Silva Coble, 74, of Weslaco, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on July 10, 2026.
Born on April 4, 1952, in Mercedes, Texas, Diana was a graduate of Mercedes High School. While working at NASA in North Carolina, she met the love of her life, David Lee Coble. The two returned to her hometown of Mercedes, where they were married and began a life filled with adventure and devotion.
David’s career led them to several places they would proudly call home, including North Carolina, New Mexico, Maryland, and later Houston, Texas. Together they embraced every opportunity to explore, enjoying camping trips, travel, and unforgettable cruises that Diana often recalled with great joy. Following David’s passing, Diana returned to the Rio Grande Valley and settled in Weslaco to be closer to her family.
Diana will be remembered for her strength, resilience, and generous heart. She had a special gift for nurturing beauty, spending countless hours tending to her garden, where her vibrant flowers reflected the love and care she gave to everything around her. Her faithful dog, Jake, was her constant companion and brought her endless comfort and happiness.

Family meant everything to Diana. She was a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend whose quiet acts of kindness and unwavering spirit touched the lives of many. Those who knew her admired her determination, compassion, and the inner strength she inherited from her beloved mother, Susana. Her love, wisdom, and gentle presence will remain a lasting source of comfort and inspiration to those she leaves behind.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Lee Coble; her parents, Deciderio and Susana Silva; her aunt, Lala Silva; her uncle, Jose Silva; and her brothers, Desiderio “Desi” Silva Jr. and Dr. Santiago Silva.
Diana is lovingly remembered by her siblings, David (Tina) de los Santos, Arnoldo (Norma) Silva, Dr. Hilda Silva, and Dr. Liz Silva; her sister-in-law, Norma Sierra Silva; and her many nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish her memory and continue her legacy of love, strength, and family.
Though she is no longer with us, Diana’s love and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
May she rest in eternal peace.
